We try and dream and try again, but we can’t pull off imagery like the Grubers or Jimmy Startt. If we could pull it off, our first camera of choice would be the Leica Q2. It’s a flawless 47 megapixel full-frame camera with impeccable German design. For decades, Leicas have been the tools of choice for photographers around the world for their unmatched image and build quality, and the Q2 extends that reputation deep into the digital age. Leica’s lauded lens design pairs with a body that’s quick to focus and has an uncanny knack for nailing exposures in tricky lighting conditions so that you can think about the image at hand, not fumble with settings as the moment escapes. Those ample megapixels in the full frame sensor mean you can get billboard-sized prints out of an approachable camera that you can carry just about anywhere. And its timeless metal body also happens to resist rain, so you don’t need to baby it; it’s made for real world shooting and pro photographers—not just hipsters who like to pose as one. Though we’re sure the price tag north of $5,000 will dissuade the pretenders.
