Romain Bardet had a bit of a bumpy start to the Giro d’Italia, and it wasn’t because his team ditched adjustable tire pressure regulators prior to the Paris-Roubaix. Since then, however, Bardet has put in the work to work his way into the top-10 in GC standing. He’s been riding the Scott Foil RC through the stages, an aero road bike that manages to keep up on the climbs as well.
Bardet’s Scott Foil RC road bike features a Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 drivetrain, Dura-Ace C60 wheels, an integrated one-piece carbon bar and stem from in-house brand Syncros, and some other goodies. If it sounds like Geraint Thomas’ Pinarello, that’s because it’s awfully similar.
See the photo gallery below for Bardet’s DSM-Firmenich PostNL-issue Scott Foil RC in the Giro d’Italia.

That’s for a Shimano sprint shifter, allowing the rider to shift gears without extending their fingers to the levers. (Photo: Chris Auld)Standard Dura-Ace Di2 shifters here, however! (Photo: Chris Auld)Look how cleanly routed they’ve routed that Di2 cable! The cable routes from the chain stays, above the derailleur hanger mount, through the direct-mount derailleur hanger, and to the derailleur port.
