Italian wins for second time in two days at the Mallorca Challenge

MADRID (AFP) — Sacha Modolo won the Trofeo Migjorn at the Mallorca Challenge Monday on the Spanish island. Modolo (Lampre-Merida), winner of Sunday’s Trofeo Palma, was fastest in the 183-kilometer contest to win his second race in as many days.

Ben Swift (Sky) was second and Gianni Meersman (Omega Pharma-Quick Step) was third.

The Mallorca Challenge continues Tuesday with the 152km Trofeo Deia.
