I am buying a new titanium frame, and I would like to know what is the best material for a seatpost, considering any corrosive action between the post and the frame. I’ve heard that carbon posts slip because the frame collars don’t grip them as well.

Aluminum or titanium. Corrosive action is not likely to be a problem with a titanium frame — certainly not like it can be with steel or aluminum. Although they are more prone to slip down, slippage is often not a problem with carbon posts, but it is a bummer if it happens to you. Campy has a special angled-bolt clamp that is designed to hold a carbon post better.
