America’s new cycling “dream team” backed by George Hincapie is already taking shape.
Hincapie and others are busy building out the roster for the 2026 season of the new American men’s road cycling team called Modern Adventure Pro Cycling.
Sources confirmed to Velo that half of the team is already under contract, with 11 riders committing with a letter of intent to join the start-up project.
Officials have committed to signing up to 20, but perhaps even 21 riders, for the new project that is set to put rubber to the road in 2026.
Under UCI rules, officials cannot officially reveal names until the August 1 rider deadline.

So far, none of the riders who have committed to the project are coming from the WorldTour level right now.
Last month, Hincapie confirmed that the project will include at least half of its roster as U.S. riders.
The team will be registered in the U.S. and will be based in Greenville, South Carolina, and also in Girona, Spain.
Building America’s ‘dream team’

The squad hopes to debut as a UCI ProTeam — one level below the WorldTour — with the goal to compete primarily in Europe.
“Our mission right now is to hire riders and to try to get into the best races that we can,” Hincapie said in a media call last month. “The initial sort of lines I put out there, organizers are very interested in our concept, and the fact that we’re an American team.
“We hope this can be America’s ‘Dream Team,’ racing in the Tour de France in hopefully five years or less.”
Hincapie and his brother Richard are co-owners, along with business consultant Dustin Harder.
Modern Adventure, a Portland-based travel company founded by Luis Vargas, is the team’s title sponsor and a co-founding partner. Factor Bikes is already confirmed.
Ty Magner, Alex Howes, and Joey Rosskopf will be on board as sports directors, and Bobby Julich will have a coaching role.
