Organizers announced Thursday that La Course by Le Tour de France will return for 2015 on July 26, the final day of the Tour de France.
This past July, the women’s event was held on the Champs-Élysées just hours before the arrival of the last stage of the men’s Tour. With the announcement that the race would take place on the final stage of the 2015 men’s Tour, it appears that it will continue as a single-day event, rather than an expanded stage race. Further details are unknown at this time.
In the inaugural edition, Marianne Vos (Rabo-Liv) sprinted to victory ahead of Kirsten Wild (Giant-Shimano), with Leah Kirchmann (Optum-Kelly Benefit Strategies) rounding out the podium.
