Lizzie Deignan headlines a top field for 2025 Lloyds Tour of Britain Women, as the UK’s top talent faces off against the rest of the world in a four-stage showdown from June 5-8 across England and Scotland.
With 19 teams on the start list — the most in race history — the revived Tour of Britain Women is set for its biggest edition yet.
Spearheading the domestic charge is UK icon Deignan, who calls this “a bittersweet final Tour of Britain,” as she races her last home stage race after a decorated career that includes two GC titles.
“I have such special memories from this race,” said Deignan, 36, who will retire in 2025. “This will be my final Tour of Britain, so it will be bittersweet but I am going to be surrounded by some incredible women.”
Sprint queen Lorena Wiebes (SD Worx-Protime), European champion and arguably the fastest sprinter in the bunch, headlines the international challenge.
Olympic double gold medalist Kristen Faulkner and headliners from Canyon-SRAM, Movistar, and FDJ-SUEZ add firepower to a race that’s regaining its spot on the calendar after its 2023 cancelation. Americans Skylar Schneider (SD Worx-Protime) and Megan Jastrab (Canyon-SRAM) also race.
Top UK stars will headline the field

Joining Deignan are Lidl-Trek teammates Elisa Balsamo and Olympic silver medallist Anna Henderson. A wave of rising British stars include Cat Ferguson (Movistar), Imogen Wolff (Visma-Lease a Bike), and the Backstedt sisters, Elynor (UAE Team ADQ) and Zoe (Canyon-SRAM Zondacrypto).
Five national champions are among the starters on the preliminary start list.
Notably absent are Demi Vollering, Marlen Reusser, Lotte Kopecky, Marianne Vos, and Kasia Niewiadoma, all skipping the race, but the action could be more wide open as a result.
Building on the momentum of last year’s successful return under British Cycling’s stewardship, this year’s route rides from the moors of Yorkshire to a fast finale in Glasgow.
Good news for British fans, who can follow the race live on BBC Sport, which will broadcast all four stages as part of its Women’s Summer of Sport.
Other coverage includes Discovery+, TNT Sports, and YouTube.
