John Degenkolb (Argos-Shimano) won his fourth stage of the 2012 Vuelta a España Tuesday, taking the bunch sprint in Sanxexo.

Joaquim Rodriguez (Katusha) held on to the overall leader’s red jersey.

“It was a hard sprint, just right to the end,” said Degenkolb. “The stage in general was not very hard. We let a small group go and we controlled the stage all day. The team again did a good job. I keep saying it, ‘thanks boys!’ They are doing such a great job. The team is working so good together.”
