The Sunny King Criterium will broadcast live from Anniston, Alabama, on VeloNews.com on Saturday April 20. Tune in for a full day of amateur racing before the elite women and men headline the event as the sun goes down.

Live video coverage will start at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday on our Live Coverage page. The elite women start at 7:20 p.m. ET, with the elite men following at 8:30 p.m.

The Sunny King Criterium is the fifth stop on the men’s National Criterium Calendar (fourth for the women). Hilton Clarke (UnitedHealthcare) and Lauren Stephens (FCS-Zngine) lead the season-long series. Clarke, the 2008 Sunny King champion, will be in Anniston with his squad.

“Sunny King has that gradual uphill to the finish, which is a cool aspect of that course,” Clarke said in a press release. “It’s really a tough sprint out of the last corner. Our team has a lot of experience together at this point, so I think right now it’s playing to our advantage a bit. The team has a really good system going, and we’ve just hit the ground running this year.”
