Bronzini makes competition vanish at Nature Valley

Giorgia Bronzini showed her world road champion pedigree Thursday, winning her second stage in a row at the Nature Valley Grand Prix. Bronzini (Colavita-Forno D’Asolo) outkicked Chloe Hosking (HTC-Highroad) on the uphill finish to nab the stage 3 win in the Cannon Falls Road Race. Teresa Cliff-Ryan (Colavita) came through for third.

Georgia Bronzini golden at Nature Valley Grand Prix’s Saint Paul criterium

World road champion Giorgia Bronzini rode her Colavita-Forno D'Asolo train to the stage 2 win at the Nature Valley Grand Prix Wednesday night. After her team wrestled control from the Tibco-To the Top squad in the final lap, Bronzini came out of the final corner in second wheel behind teammate Teresa Cliff-Ryan. She couldn't be matched when she kicked in downtown Saint Paul and Bronzini rode away with the second stage of the five-day, six-stage race.

Philadelphia International & Liberty Classic open to new winners

PHILADELPHIA (VN) —It may not be the national championship anymore, but Sunday’s TD Bank Philadelphia International Championship is still America’s biggest — and most prestigious — single-day race. And at 27 years old this year, it is now older than many of the men favored to add its title to their palmares. With a field lacking past winners and a number of young riders showing promising results in recent weeks, Philadelphia could be ripe for a youth movement in the men’s race.
