Since 2001, the Granogue course has gained a reputation for its relentless punchy climbs, tricky off-camber descents and searing run-ups, but the addition of greasy mud added a new level of challenge to the UCI Cat 2 event.

Adding insult (and injury), three sets of railroad tracks crisscrossed the tight turn creating a maniacal web of steel ruts, cracked cobbles and skinny tires.

Park City Cycling Festival criterium: A Casey Gibson gallery
Kyle Gritters (Team Seasilver) won the under-23 criterium on Friday at Utah’s Park City Cycling Festival, while Kimberly Geist (Victory Brewing) claimed the 17-18 win with a last-minute attack.
