    Italian street sprints – Velo Club Carrara kicks off Tirreno-Adriatico

    On Wednesday morning Tirenno-Adriatico kicked off with a street sprint competition. The local kids cycling club "Velo Club Carrara" had the opportunity to race the first few hundred meters, on the same course the pros would ride later in the day.     Quick Step's Nikolas Maes was taken to the hospital for x-rays after being involved in a multi-rider crash in the final meters of Tuesday's Paris-Nice stage.
