UCI Road World Championships
The UCI Road World Championships heads to Kigali, Rwanda, for Africa’s first road worlds. The racing takes place across eight day from September 21-28, 2025, with nearly 1,000 athletes from more than 100 nations competing for the prestigious rainbow jersey.

New world champion Mark Cavendish credits teammates for rainbow-winning ride
As a sprinter, Mark Cavendish is the first to admit that without the help and sacrifice of his teammates, he wouldn't win many races. And he certainly would not have become the first British world champion since Tom Simpson in 1965 on Sunday without the help of Team Great Britain.
