King and Nauman, along with LeLan Dains and John Hobbs, will be inducted at a ceremony in Emporia, Kansas ahead of Unbound Gravel.

Nominations for athletes, event organizers, innovators, storytellers, and advocates who have left a mark in gravel cycling will be accepted November 1-30, 2024.

Linda Guerrette, Selene Yaeger, Jay Petervary, and Nick Legan will join 11 other gravel pioneers in the hall of fame.

The creator of the successful Almanzo 100 gravel race disappeared from the scene after becoming disillusioned with the monetization of the sport. A nomination to the Gravel Cycling Hall of Fame brought him back.

The Gravel Hall of Fame isn't just about (the very new concept of) gravel pro athletes. The idea is to recognize anyone who has helped or inspire others in this rapidly growing sport.

The inaugural class of the Gravel Cycling Hall of Fame will be inducted later this year. Not everyone is in favor of the idea.

While not a brick and mortar museum yet, the project will honor the pioneers of the discipline, as nominated by members of the gravel community.
