The South African rider hopes to return to the Tour de France in the future after missing the time cut during last year's race.
Some of the hardest racing of the Tour de France takes place way off-camera as the 'gruppetto' battles against the jury's stopwatch.
Dlamini missed the time cut by more than 40 minutes, but had to finish the stage.
American rider Sean Bennett will also make Tour de France debut with Qhubeka Assos.
