Richie Porte's second place finish behind winner Primož Roglič in TT finale at Tour de Romandie claims the race for the 32-year-old Aussie. used his superior time trialling skills to leapfrogged stage 4 winner and overall leader Simon Yates (Orica-Scott) to become the first Australian to win Tour de Romandie since Cadel Evans last did so in 2011 – the same year the now-retired BMC rider won the Tour de France.
