When Bontrager offered up a set of new Aeolus XXX wheels for test, we asked Bontrager to ship the wheels to Flanders, so we could test them across the cobbles. We spent a week riding the new 60mm Aeolus XXX6 TLR and the 47mm Aeolus XXX4 TLR over the Flandrian climbs and were massively impressed. Easier to handle in the brutal winds, lighter to get up the steep bergs, and with vastly improved rim braking, the new Aeolus XXX wheels represent more than just an aero upgrade, they are a tangible improvement for every rider.
Bontrager has launched a comprehensive line up of new Aeolus XXX TLR wheels in both tubular and clincher and rim and disc brake.
Aeolus XXX 2: 28mm Climbing, cyclocross and gravel riding: 1305grams(rim); $2400set
Aeolus XXX 4: 47mm Mid-depth workhorse for everyday aero performance: 1400grams(rim); $2400set
Aeolus XXX 6: 60mm Deep wheel for maximum aerodynamics: 1530grams(rim) $2400set
